Two sound installations created by Luc Messinezis, PhD candidate (Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts), will be presented as part of the 17th Athens Digital Art Festival (ADAF), which will take place from the 13th until the 17th of October at the Museum of Modern Greek Culture and other locations around the area of Monastiraki and Plaka.
The artwork "Flowers" from the Uncanny Valley is a sound sculpture installation which was the result of a collaboration with sculptor Yiannis Brouzos and was originally created for the 1st Primarolia festival in 2019. The work will be now again on display at the main building of the Museum of Modern Greek Culture. The artwork is a spatial multichannel audio-visual fictitious narrative hinting on elements of truth.
The second artwork called "Natural Perversion [Physical Edition]" is a sound installation which is going to transform the ancient site of Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrheste into a passageway from reality to hyperreality with the sole use of sound.
Luc Messinezis is an artist and researcher working across sound, installation and audiovisual narratives.
