The fifth international conference Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science will take place September 27–29, 2023 in Valletta, Malta. TTT is an interdisciplinary and nomadic event, where both practitioners as well as theorists present and discuss the status of art-science and/or art & technology. TTT, created by Dalila Honorato, Assoc. Professor, Dept Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, is based on the support of a large informal network of international researchers and practitioners that develop their activities at the edge of art and science intersections. The year 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Greek-born pioneer composer and thinker Iannis Xenakis, and is accompanied worldwide by events dedicated to his memory and work. To honour this Greek-born musician, a marathon concert takes place at Athens Conservatory, on Saturday 17 December, presenting works inspired by his musical work and his reflections on science and technology and the role of muscles in society and the arts. This event, which takes place at the Athens Conservatory from 7 pm until 3:30 am the following day, features musicians and artists from ten different countries (Greece, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, England, Ireland, Germany, Turkey, United States).

Four participations from the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University this year at the international conference "FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology": Associate Professor Mrs. Dalila Honorato presenting “Meet HAL: Hub of Arts Laboratories and how to do lab networking”, special teaching staff Mrs. Christina Mitsani (Special Educational Personnel), PhD candidate Mrs. Styliani-Anna Klimatsaki and the postdoctoral researcher Dr Marina Markellou. As a highly international community, the program of FEMeeting 2022 “FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology” includes 95 presentations by 109 speakers from 27 countries as well as other activities to encourage communication among its participants. Taking place from 12 to 17 September 2022, the third conference has its kick-off in Lisbon, at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, and continues its program in the city of Évora, hosted in the Convento de São Bento de Castris and the Fundação Eugénio de Almeida.
